Statt Umlaute nur Fragezeichen

Der Fehler bei der Darstellung der Umlaute liegt bei der Konfiguration des Apache Webservers, Problemlösung ist hier Beschrieben:

Nokia 5800 als Modem über Bluetooth für Internet Ubuntu 9.10

1. herausfinden mit

hcitool scan

und dann merken oder doch in die Zwischenablage kopieren ;)

2. in Ausgabe von

sdptool search DUN

suchen und merken (z.B.: 4, 22, ...)

3. Channel+MAC in bind-commando einfügen

sudo /usr/bin/rfcomm bind 0 [MAC-Adresse] [Channel]

3.1 PIN
Beim ersten Verbindungsversuch wird vom Handy ein PIN-Code zur Authentifizierung der Bluetooth-verbindung abgefragt - beliebigen wählen, eingeben und den gleichen dann beim erscheinenden Dialog ebenfalls eingeben

4. gnome-ppp
Installation von gnome-ppp via

sudo apt-get install gnome-ppp

5. Rechtevergabe für start ohne sudo

sudo chmod 755 -R /etc/ppp

6. Start von gnome-ppp

gnome-ppp

Folgende Daten werden für eine Verbindung zu A1 benötigt:
Nummer: *99#
Benutzer: ppp@a1plus.at
Passwort: ppp

Dann auf Konfiguration:

Reiter "Modem":
Gerät: /dev/rfcomm0
TYP: USB-Modem
Geschwindigkeit: 460800
Telefonleitung: Ton
Lautstärke: Aus
Bei Initialisierungsstring, bei Init2: at+cgdcont=1,"IP","A1.net" eingeben und mit Enter bestätigen
Auf Wählton warten: DEAKTIVIEREN!

Reiter "Netzwerk"
Dynamische IP-Adresse
Automatischer DNS

Reiter Optionen folgende Häkchen:
Leitung überprüfen
Standardroute überprüfen
Ignoriere Terminalstrings(stupid mode)

Nach diesen Einstellungen sollte die Verbindung über Bluetooth einwandfrei funktionieren!

Ubuntu 9.10 - Auto user login

The automatich user Login, which you can turn on in System -> System -> Logon Screen is not stable. I turned off my PC and in the morning an Error appeared. You have to go into the console-mode by pressing Strg+Alt+F1, restart your GDM by typing: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart and then you have to give 655-privileges to the file mentioned in the error. After that your system should boot again.

Nokia 5800 + Ubuntu 9.10

Internet
I plugged in my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, than I klicked on the connectivity-Button on the left side of the clock. After that i choose to configure a new connection. Then I had to select my country, my provider and the connection I want and after that the Internet-Connection was configured!

FileSharing
When you plug in your 5800 you can choose between different modes. Choose the Filexchange-mode and a Window will dissapear where you can choose between the phone-storage and the Memory-Card-Storage.

Bluetooth
Bluetooth works also well with the Nokia 5800. Click on the bluetooth-icon, which is on the left side of the clock, and then select konfigure a new device. Than search for it, and share the Passwords für connection. After that your PC/Laptop is connected with the phone and you can click on the BT-icon an select browse Files on device.
